FAQ's
Are you better instructors than others?
We consider ourselves as good instructors who have passed the DVSA assessment to hold an instructors badge. Our backgrounds put us in a unique position having been instructors and highly skilled drivers. If we were to boast about credentials, here we go. The ADI Part 3 instructional ability assessment has a national pass rate of around 35% meaning only 1 in 3 are successful. To obtain a Grade A pass at the first attempt without having been a trainee instructor, is exceptionally hard. Less than 4% achieve this Grade. Sean did. It it is down to his hard work, dedication and former roles as a police driver and driving test examiner that shows that his instructional ability is at the very top level.Â
Do you offer discounts for cash or booking a block of lessons?
Have a look at our prices page for the discounts we offer. We take cash as a payment method but it is no different to any other means. Our preferred method is a bank transfer as it avoids service charges for you and us and allows us to set our prices competitively.
I am a Social Media influencer. I am happy to promote your business in exchange for free lessons
We would be very happy for you to promote our business too. Feel free to do so after you have paid for our services.
How many lessons will i need?
The DVSA suggest 45 hours of professional instruction and another 20 hours of private practice. Until you are in the drivers seat it is impossible to tell. We can assure you that to pass the test you MUST have the requisite skills to do so. It takes time and commitment and should not be rushed. We will assess your driving, give you progress updates in writing at the end of each lesson a percentage mark so you know how well you are doing.
Do you do lessons in the evenings and weekends ?
Yes we do. These lessons are very popular and are snapped up very quickly. We work on a fair system of first comer first served. On occasion we will add a lesson at short notice on the app that can be booked. Driving lessons are in high demand so it is best to book as many lessons as you can when they are showing as available in our diary to avoid disappointment. We dont have a priority booking system. We believe in fairness for all
When can I start lessons ?
We generally have limited availability over the coming 8Â days but you can start at any point as long as there is a space for your lesson. You can book lessons up to 4 weeks ahead.Â
Do you offer a guaranteed pass?
No, but we guarantee that if you take your test when we determine you are ready, it is most likely that you will pass. Unfortunate mistakes happen on tests that cannot be legislated for, but, if your hazard awareness is excellent, you should be able to deal with anything that happens.Â
I have to take an extended test following a disqualification. I don't need lessons as I am a good driver. Can you hire me a car?
Absolutely ! but, only after we have assessed your driving and tidied up any bad habits you may have. Contact us to discuss.
Why are the pass rates so low at the test centres you use ?
The pass rate sits around 45% nationally. The main reason is lack of preparation ie , insufficient lessons. The 45% who do pass are not lucky, they have trained hard. Also take into account that people pass after a number of attempts and not necessarily first time. Passing first time is highly probable with the correct number of lessons. Ask yourself this – If 45% can pass, then why can’t the other 55%. Be part of the successful percentage by learning with us. Have a look at our blogs. We go in details
Do you cover dual carriageways and test routes during lessons?
Dual carriageways are one of the last lessons you undertake due to the level of awareness needed in all aspects of driving before adding fast moving traffic, multiple lanes and entry and exit methods. Test roads are used but you wont learn the 50 or so routes that you could go on. On your tests you will be on roads that are familiar to you.
